THE MENTAL HEALTH BATTLE THAT VETERANS FACE AFTER THE WAR: BEER IS CHEAPER THAN THERAPY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the sobering reality of the mental health crisis plaguing American veterans returning from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It seeks to understand the alarming rates of suicide among young soldiers and veterans, posing a critical question: why does the path to coping often seem to lead away from professional help and towards self-destructive patterns? The film bravely confronts the societal and systemic factors that may contribute to this tragedy, highlighting the profound and often invisible wounds of war that continue to affect those who have served.
