THE MAN WHO CLAIMS TO BE JESUS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, "The Man Who Claims to Be Jesus" (also presented as "For the Love of God"), delves into the extraordinary life of Alan John Miller, a man who asserts he has lived for two millennia as Jesus Christ. Having garnered media attention from outlets like Sky News, ITV, and the BBC, Miller has been labeled variously as a fantasist and a cult leader. Despite this, his influence extends globally, with a significant online following and devoted adherents worldwide who fund his endeavors and travel great distances to hear his teachings, often alongside his partner, who identifies as Mary Magdalene. The film grants exclusive access to explore Miller's personal history, tracing his journey to the point where he claims to have recalled his true identity as Jesus Christ, including his life, death, and resurrection. "For the Love of God" examines the profound certainty behind his audacious declaration, "I am Jesus – deal with it," and the adoration he receives from his believers.
