THE MACABRE BUSINESS WAR FOR THE ELECTRIC CHAIR

Cinemavixion Review

This historical drama plunges viewers into the cutthroat world of late 19th-century technological innovation, specifically the fierce rivalry between titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse. Set against the backdrop of America's electrification, the narrative compellingly portrays the ethical quandaries that arose as ambition clashed with morality. The film vividly illustrates the stark contrast between Edison's cautious, direct current approach and Westinghouse's more volatile, yet potentially revolutionary, alternating current. The story's climax, involving the infamous electric chair, serves as a grim testament to the lengths to which these inventors would go, highlighting the profound and often tragic human cost of progress. It's a thought-provoking exploration of invention, competition, and the dawn of a new electrical age.
