Roger Corman's "The Little Shop of Horrors" from 1960 remains a cult classic, a delightfully macabre black comedy that predates its more famous musical counterpart. Shot in a mere two days, this low-budget gem, starring Jonathan Haze as the hapless Seymour Krelboin, showcases Corman's knack for inventive storytelling. The plot, revolving around a sentient, blood-drinking plant named Audrey Jr., is both absurd and compelling, fueled by a darkly humorous script and a cast that commits wholeheartedly to the bizarre premise.
