THE LEGEND OF THE PSYCHOTIC FOREST RANGER

Cinemavixion Review

This independent horror-thriller plunges viewers into the unforgiving wilderness of Cape Breton Island. The premise follows four teenagers whose road trip takes a terrifying detour when their vehicle abandons them, leaving them stranded amidst the dense woods. As if their predicament wasn't dire enough, a sinister presence emerges in the form of a homicidal maniac, turning their fight for survival into a desperate game of cat and mouse. Director Brad Mills crafts a suspenseful narrative, relying on the isolation and atmospheric dread of the setting to amplify the terror. Michael G MacDonald, Samuel MacDonald LeMoine, and Colleen MacIsaac anchor the film with performances that convey the escalating fear and desperation of their characters. While the film leans into familiar slasher tropes, its remote setting and focus on the psychological toll of being hunted offer a chilling experience.
