THE LEASE

Cinemavixion Review

This Filipino horror offering delves into the unsettling consequences of domestic tranquility shattered by unseen forces. The narrative centers on Romano and Clara, who seek a peaceful life in a picturesque villa, only to find their sanctuary invaded by a malevolent presence. As Romano is plagued by increasingly disturbing and strangely familiar nightmares, the film skillfully builds suspense, urging the audience to question the very nature of the villa's secrets. While the external data indicates a director and specific runtime, the core of the film's effectiveness lies in its atmospheric tension and the slow unraveling of a dark mystery. It's a commendable entry for those who appreciate psychological dread over jump scares, exploring how the past can haunt the present in the most intimate of spaces.
