THE LAST VOICES OF WW1

Cinemavixion Review

This award-winning factual series offers a poignant and deeply moving exploration of World War One through the voices of those who experienced it firsthand. The documentary masterfully weaves together a unique collection of one hundred interviews, capturing the raw heroism and profound heartbreak endured by soldiers and their loved ones between 1914 and 1918. Many of these veterans shared their stories for the first time, making this a particularly precious historical record, as all these voices are now irrevocably silent. The series contrasts the initial patriotic euphoria and the perception of war as a glorious adventure with the grim reality of battle and the horrors of the trenches, providing an essential, human perspective on this monumental conflict.
