THE KOKODA TRACK CAMPAIGN: HOW THE JAPANESE WERE TURNED BACK IN NEW GUINEA | BATTLES WON & LOST

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary compilation offers a gripping look at pivotal WWII campaigns. While the title highlights the Kokoda Track, the content expands to encompass several critical theaters of war. The segment on Convoy PQ17 is particularly harrowing, detailing the catastrophic loss of Allied supply ships to relentless German U-boat, Luftwaffe, and naval attacks. The narrative effectively conveys the immense stakes involved, with the cargo destined to bolster the Soviet Union's fight against Hitler. The inclusion of the Kokoda Track Campaign, the Battle of Suomussalmi, Kasserine Pass, the Recovery of Burma, and the Battle of Moscow provides a broader perspective on the global conflict. Each segment, though brief, serves as an educational and impactful reminder of the sacrifices and strategic importance of these battles in shaping the war's outcome.
