THE KILLING TREE

Cinemavixion Review

In a bold reimagining of holiday horror, "The Killing Tree" delivers a unique blend of festive dread and supernatural vengeance. The premise, centered on a widow's desperate attempt to resurrect her executed husband, which tragically results in his return as a malevolent Christmas tree, is both macabre and compelling. Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield crafts an atmosphere that oscillates between yuletide charm and chilling suspense, making for a truly unconventional seasonal offering. While the film may not appeal to traditionalists, its audacious narrative and dark humor are sure to intrigue fans of genre-bending cinema. The performances, particularly Sarah Alexandra Marks as the grief-stricken widow, anchor the supernatural chaos with a raw emotional core, making this a memorable, if unsettling, cinematic experience.
