THE KILLER RESERVED NINE SEATS

Cinemavixion Review

Giuseppe Bennati's "The Killer Reserved Nine Seats" (1974) is a giallo that plunges viewers into a chilling night of terror within an ancestral Italian theater. The film masterfully blends mystery and horror as Patrick Davenant invites a select group of friends and his daughter to his family's long-shuttered playhouse. What begins as a peculiar gathering quickly devolves into a deadly trap when the doors seal shut, and a masked assailant systematically eliminates the guests. The narrative, enriched by the external data's detailed plot, reveals a centuries-old curse intertwined with the Davenant family's dark history. Starring Rosanna Schiaffino, Chris Avram, and Eva Czemerys, the film delivers suspenseful set pieces and a macabre atmosphere characteristic of the giallo genre, making it a compelling watch for fans of Italian thrillers.
