THE KANE BROTHERS | FAMILIES OF CRIME

Cinemavixion Review

Judi Kane's description of her husband, Les Kane, as "the most violent man in Australia" immediately sets a grim and intense tone for 'The Kane Brothers | Families of Crime'. The film delves into the volatile life of Les Kane, a figure who rose to notoriety through his public declaration of war against notorious armed robber Ray Chuck, the architect of the infamous 1976 Great Bookie Robbery. The narrative hints at a brutal underworld where conflicts are settled with swift and decisive violence, suggesting a powerful exploration of the Australian criminal landscape and the devastating consequences of a life steeped in crime. This documentary or docudrama promises a raw and unflinching look at a notorious figure and the dangerous era he inhabited.
