THE JOGGER

Cinemavixion Review

Jeff Robison and Casey Twenter's 'The Jogger' plunges viewers into a harrowing nocturnal ordeal where a simple evening run transforms into a desperate fight for survival. Derek Phillips delivers a compelling performance as a man suddenly thrust into a terrifying cat-and-mouse game with a relentless, psychotic assailant. The film masterfully builds suspense, leveraging the isolation of the night and the vulnerability of its protagonist to create a palpable sense of dread. While the narrative adheres to familiar thriller conventions, the efficient pacing and Phillips's committed portrayal elevate the material. It's a lean, effective slice of suspense that demonstrates how a clear premise and solid execution can deliver a potent, adrenaline-fueled experience for fans of the genre.
