THE INTERNSHIP GAMES

Cinemavixion Review

Tania Zee's "The Internship Games" presents a compelling narrative centered on six students from historically black colleges and universities vying for a singular, career-defining position at Econo Air. The stakes are palpably high, with a lucrative salary and tuition coverage on the line, amplifying the intense rivalry and personal motivations of each contestant. Zee, who also penned the screenplay, crafts a story where hidden agendas and unexpected challenges escalate the competition beyond mere professional ambition. The film delves into the dire circumstances driving these students, making their pursuit of the coveted spot a dramatic and often unpredictable journey. While the film may not have garnered widespread critical acclaim or major awards, its focus on ambition, competition, and the unique pressures faced by its characters offers a thought-provoking look at the lengths individuals will go to secure their future.
