THE INCREDIBLE WILDLIFE OF CROATIA'S RAREST RIVERS

Cinemavixion Review

Croatia, a nation celebrated for its picturesque coastline, harbors a wilder soul within its lesser-known rivers. This documentary invites viewers to explore Europe's last untamed lowland river, a dynamic force that shapes its environment and sustains a rich tapestry of life. The narrative follows the intricate journey of water through a venerable limestone terrain, where rivers vanish into the earth only to resurface as spectacular waterfalls and concealed lakes. It chronicles a profound coexistence, illustrating how communities have thrived for centuries alongside the natural cycles of floods and wildlife, forging a way of life in harmony with nature's might. The film showcases expansive wetlands, vital sanctuaries for endangered avian species, and dramatic estuaries where the confluence of freshwater and the sea creates a world profoundly sculpted by water's influence.
