THE HUNTING

Cinemavixion Review

Mark Andrew Hamer's "The Hunting" plunges viewers into a chilling mystery within a seemingly tranquil small town. The narrative expertly builds suspense as a brutal animal attack disrupts the peace, forcing a local detective and a wildlife specialist to confront a sinister truth. The film excels in its atmospheric dread, drawing parallels between the untamed wilderness and the hidden darkness within the community. Joelle Westwood and Angela Cole deliver compelling performances, anchoring the film's tension and emotional core. While the IMDb rating suggests a divisive reception, "The Hunting" offers a taut thriller that explores primal fears and the unsettling consequences of confronting the unknown. Its compact runtime and focused plot make it a compelling watch for those who appreciate a well-crafted mystery with a touch of the wild.
