THE HUNT FOR THE BLACKOUT KILLER: WW2'S SERIAL MURDERERS | WARTIME CRIME

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling reality of crime during World War II, specifically focusing on the insidious exploitation of wartime blackouts by serial murderers in both Nazi Germany and Britain. The narrative skillfully weaves together the dual nature of the darkness – a necessary defense mechanism against aerial bombardment that also served as a perfect cover for predatory criminals. The film highlights how these killers leveraged the absolute absence of light to prey upon unsuspecting victims, transforming a period of national crisis into an opportunity for horrific acts. It's a stark reminder that even amidst global conflict, human darkness can find fertile ground, making this a compelling and unsettling examination of wartime depravity.
