THE HUNT FOR A LOST BRONZE-AGE METROPOLIS CLAIMED BY THE DESERT | ALEXANDER'S LOST WORLD | ODYSSEY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary from the 'Odyssey' series ventures into the perilous frontiers of Afghanistan, following David Adams' quest to uncover purported Bronze-Age metropolises. The premise challenges the long-held belief that Alexander the Great founded numerous cities in Central Asia, suggesting instead that many were existing settlements later expanded by the conqueror. Adams endeavors to explore these ancient sites, seeking remnants of these once-great metropolises swallowed by the desert. The series 'Odyssey' promises a journey through ancient history, from Mesopotamia to the Roman Empire, focusing on the mysteries and ruins of lost civilizations. While the specific archaeological findings are yet to be detailed, the exploration of Afghanistan's dangerous frontiers adds a layer of urgency and intrigue to the search for these forgotten urban centers.
