THE HORDE

Cinemavixion Review

Jared Cohn's 'The Horde' plunges viewers into a primal struggle for survival, set against the backdrop of a seemingly idyllic wilderness retreat. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread as a group of students and their chaperones find themselves preyed upon by a grotesque, mutated menace. Paul Logan anchors the narrative as John, a man thrust into the role of protector, whose military background proves essential against the relentless onslaught. The supporting cast, including veterans Costas Mandylor and Bill Moseley, lend a gravitas that elevates the B-movie premise. While the narrative treads familiar ground in the survival horror genre, 'The Horde' distinguishes itself with its visceral tension and a commitment to its terrifying antagonists, offering a suspenseful and often brutal cinematic experience for fans of the genre.
