THE HOCKEY STICK KILLER

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the shocking 1999 road rage incident on Cape Town's mountain pass, where respected hockey player Graham Eadie fatally attacked sales representative Kevin Duncan with a hockey stick. The film meticulously reconstructs the events of that fateful night, the subsequent trial, and the profound, enduring impact on the families involved. It also examines Eadie's subsequent legal troubles, posing a disquieting question about the controllability of violent impulses. The narrative serves as a stark reminder of how quickly a moment of anger can spiral into tragedy, leaving a lasting scar on the community and the lives it touches.
