THE HITCHHIKER

Cinemavixion Review

Leigh Scott's "The Hitchhiker" plunges viewers into a desolate desert landscape where a road trip to Las Vegas takes a terrifying turn. The narrative expertly builds suspense as four young women encounter a charismatic yet sinister hitchhiker, only to find themselves stranded and menaced by a relentless killer. The film capitalizes on its isolated setting, creating an atmosphere of palpable dread. While the external data notes a modest IMDb rating, the straightforward, effective horror premise, driven by the ensemble cast including Jeff Denton, Sarah Lieving, and Shaley Scott, offers a compelling, albeit grim, exploration of vulnerability and survival against primal fear. It's a taut thriller that delivers on its promise of suspense.
