THE HAUNTING OF SORORITY ROW

Cinemavixion Review

Bert Kish's "The Haunting of Sorority Row" plunges into the chilling traditions of Greek life, offering a suspenseful narrative centered on freshman Samantha Willows, portrayed by Leighton Meester. As Samantha navigates the arduous pledge process for the elite Delta Phi Theta sorority, she uncovers a disturbing undercurrent of secrets and a sinister presence within the house. The film expertly builds tension, blurring the lines between hazing rituals and genuine malevolence, especially after the unsettling death of a fellow pledge. Meester delivers a compelling performance, capturing Samantha's escalating dread and determination to expose the dark truth lurking within the sorority's hallowed halls. While perhaps not a groundbreaking horror film, "The Haunting of Sorority Row" provides a satisfying mystery with a supernatural twist, making it a worthwhile watch for fans of atmospheric thrillers set against the backdrop of college life.
