THE HAUNTING OF SHARON TATE

Cinemavixion Review

Daniel Farrands' "The Haunting of Sharon Tate" is a chilling descent into psychological horror, offering a fictionalized account of the Hollywood actress's final days. Starring Hilary Duff in a performance that delves into the character's mounting dread, the film explores Tate's premonitions of her own demise as she awaits her husband, Roman Polanski. Farrands, who also penned the screenplay, crafts a narrative steeped in atmosphere, blending supernatural elements with the palpable tension of the era. While the film garnered a mixed reception, with critics noting its ambitious but uneven approach, it stands as a somber exploration of fear and fate. The production, a collaboration between the United States and Mexico, attempts to capture the vulnerability of its subject against the backdrop of impending tragedy, making for a haunting, albeit controversial, cinematic experience.
