THE HAUNTING OF HYTHE HOUSE

Cinemavixion Review

Steven M. Smith's "The Haunting of Hythe House" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative centered on Danny, a young man whose online provocations attract the attention of a sinister entity known as Control. Transported to a desolate, abandoned mansion, Danny finds himself ensnared in a deadly mystery with life-altering stakes. The film masterfully blends psychological horror with elements of a thriller, as Danny's journey becomes a descent into paranoia and fear. Luke Stevenson delivers a compelling performance as Danny, navigating the character's transformation from a detached cyberbully to a desperate survivor. The atmospheric setting of Hythe House itself becomes a character, its decaying grandeur amplifying the pervasive sense of dread. While the plot offers twists and turns, it's the exploration of digital malevolence and its real-world consequences that truly resonates, making this a thought-provoking entry in the horror genre.
