THE GOD'S SACRIFICE

Cinemavixion Review

Yunyin Town is gripped by a chilling wave of serial murders, plunging its inhabitants into a state of pervasive fear. The desperate community resolves to appease the heavens with a grand River God sacrifice, hoping for a return to peace. Into this maelstrom steps Physician Tao Ran, tasked with unraveling the mystery behind the killings. Aiding him in his relentless pursuit of the truth is his apprentice, and unexpectedly, a little fox named Hua Zhi, who becomes a witness to the crimes. Their investigation leads them to an unlikely ally in Xiao Shu, a wandering sorcerer with a penchant for drink. As this peculiar trio delves deeper, their focus sharpens on a local embroidery workshop, where the threads of deception begin to unravel. The collaboration unearths a tangled web, intricately connecting the escalating violence to the solemn River God ceremony, suggesting that the answers lie not in divine intervention, but in human machinations.
