THE GOD INSIDE MY EAR

Cinemavixion Review

Joe Badon's "The God Inside My Ear" plunges viewers into a disorienting psyche following a sudden breakup. When Elizia's boyfriend leaves for a UFO cult, she finds herself besieged by strange visions and cryptic voices, seemingly orchestrated by unseen figures in a control room. This descent into paranoia is further amplified by a stalkerish telemarketer, pushing Elizia to explore unconventional solutions, from medical professionals to psychics and hallucinogenics. The film masterfully blurs the lines between reality and delusion, as Elizia's friends grapple with whether her experiences are genuine or a product of a troubled mind. With a runtime of 97 minutes, this 2017 indie offering, starring Linnea Gregg, Collin Galyean, and Dorian Rush, garnered 3 wins and a 4.9 rating on IMDb, making it a compelling, albeit unsettling, exploration of mental fragility and conspiracy.
