THE GHOSTS OF THE THIRD REICH

Cinemavixion Review

Claudia Sobral's "The Ghosts of the Third Reich" offers a deeply unsettling yet vital exploration into the inherited burden of guilt carried by descendants of Nazi perpetrators. The documentary bravely confronts the psychological and emotional toll on individuals whose family members were complicit in the atrocities of the Third Reich. Through poignant testimonies, the film illuminates a profound desire to disassociate from the abhorrent ideology and actions of their ancestors, seeking to understand and articulate a complex legacy of shame and responsibility. This is a challenging but essential work for those interested in the long shadow of history and the persistent echoes of collective guilt.
