The film masterfully evokes the era's oppressive mood, utilizing its setting to amplify the psychological terror. Esther Woods, Sarah Noll, and Richard Brake deliver compelling performances, navigating the descent into madness and supernatural dread that permeates the prison walls. Hall’s direction skillfully builds suspense, focusing on the claustrophobic environment and the unraveling minds of those trapped within its confines.
