THE GARDEN OF YOUR DREAMS - ON A WATERFRONT PROPERTY?

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a compelling glimpse into the ambitious undertaking of creating a waterside dream home and garden simultaneously. The narrative skillfully navigates the inherent tensions between construction timelines and the delicate process of landscaping. As Mark and Sandra Sader embark on realizing their resort-style garden on Sydney's George's River, the film highlights the crucial interplay between client vision and designer execution. We witness the evolving relationship between designer Michael Bates and the clients, as unforeseen construction delays necessitate a flexible and adaptive approach to the garden's design. The story compellingly explores the multifaceted relationships—between builders and landscapers, clients and designers, and even the house and its garden—underscoring the collaborative spirit required to bring such an elaborate project to fruition and questioning whether all these elements can harmonize to fulfill the Saders' ultimate vision.
