THE GARDEN COMEBACK OF THE CENTURY - FROM WILDFIRES TO SERENITY. | DREAM GARDENS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary chronicles the inspiring journey of Stewart and Sandra Hart as they rebuild their lives and their garden in rural Victoria following the devastating bushfires. Witnessing the destruction of their home and landscape, the couple embarks on a courageous new project, 'Waiora,' a challenging endeavor to create a serene sanctuary amidst the ever-present threat of fire. Under the guidance of renowned landscape designer Paul Bangay, they transform an overgrown plot into a family-oriented country garden, complete with essential amenities and vibrant perennial borders that frame breathtaking country views. The film offers a poignant look at resilience, the healing power of nature, and the meticulous process of garden creation, as Michael McCoy revisits the site three years later to assess the garden's growth and its role in the Harts' recovery.
