THE FORGIVEN

Cinemavixion Review

"The Forgiven" plunges viewers into the lingering shadows of a brutal West African civil war, twenty years after its conclusion. The narrative centers on Reverend Brian William, a man haunted by his past, whose fragile peace is shattered by the abduction of his wife and daughter. This gripping premise, brought to life by a cast including Donna Adja, Zion Akande, and Michael Sean Erickson, promises a tense exploration of trauma, faith, and the inescapable nature of one's history. The film, directed by Stonz Walters, navigates the complex emotional landscape of its protagonist as he is forced to confront the ghosts of his past in a desperate bid to rescue his family. Its taut storytelling and compelling central conflict make it a noteworthy watch for those drawn to character-driven dramas with a strong thematic core.
