THE FOLLOWER: PARANORMAL ACTIVITY

Cinemavixion Review

Kévin Mendiboure's "THE FOLLOWER: PARANORMAL ACTIVITY" plunges viewers into the unsettling world of internet vlogging and the unforeseen terrors it can unleash. The film centers on David Baker, an ambitious video blogger, who accepts an invitation from the reclusive Carol to document paranormal phenomena within her isolated home. Tasked with exploring every corner save for a mysterious upstairs room, David initially encounters nothing but silence. However, the atmosphere gradually shifts as spectral events begin to unfold, revealing a sinister truth that lurks beneath the surface. The narrative expertly builds suspense, blurring the lines between online content creation and genuine supernatural dread, culminating in a chilling realization: the horrors encountered might not remain confined to the house. This descent into psychological unease and spectral mystery offers a compelling, if disquieting, viewing experience.
