THE FIGHTING WESTERNER

Cinemavixion Review

Charles Barton's 1935 Western, 'The Fighting Westerner,' offers a compelling blend of mystery and frontier action. The narrative centers on a valuable radium mine and the desperate efforts to protect its inheritance from a shadowy killer. Randolph Scott leads the cast as a mining engineer tasked with uncovering the murderer and exonerating his wrongly accused cousin. The film skillfully navigates the dangers of the untamed West, weaving a suspenseful plot that keeps audiences guessing. Scott's stoic performance anchors the film, supported by the memorable turns from Charles 'Chic' Sale and Mrs. Leslie Carter. 'The Fighting Westerner' is a solid entry in the Western genre, appreciated for its intriguing plot and classic Hollywood sensibilities.
