THE FIGHTING REDHEAD

Cinemavixion Review

Lewis D. Collins' "The Fighting Redhead" plunges viewers into a classic Western showdown, deftly balancing thrilling action with a compelling mystery. Set in 1949, the film stars Jim Bannon as Red Ryder, who arrives to aid his friend Dan O'Connor against the notorious Faro Savage and his rustling gang. The narrative quickly thickens as Red and Sheila O'Connor (Dan's daughter) attempt to gather evidence, only to be thwarted by legal technicalities and Savage's escalating treachery. Bannon embodies the stoic, capable hero, while the supporting cast, including Don Reynolds as Little Beaver and Emmett Lynn, provide strong performances that anchor the unfolding drama. The plot, driven by betrayal and a framing, keeps the audience engaged, culminating in Red and Little Beaver's quest to clear Sheila's name and expose Savage. This entry in the Western genre offers a satisfying blend of frontier justice and intrigue, making it a noteworthy watch for fans of the era.
