Sam Newfield's 1938 Western, "The Feud Maker," plunges viewers into a classic range war scenario. Starring Bob Steele as Tex, the narrative unfolds as Tex is drawn into a bitter conflict between cattle ranchers and homesteaders. His past entanglement with the outlaw Lassiter, played with a menacing presence, complicates matters when he discovers Lassiter is the architect of the escalating violence. Despite Tex's attempts to expose Lassiter, he finds himself facing disbelief from all sides. The film, a straightforward B-Western, delivers a familiar yet engaging tale of loyalty, betrayal, and the struggle for justice on the frontier. While not a groundbreaking work, "The Feud Maker" offers a solid dose of Western action and intrigue, bolstered by Steele's capable performance in the lead role.
