THE EXORCISTS

Cinemavixion Review

In 'The Exorcists,' director Paul Andrich crafts a low-budget horror film that leans into its supernatural premise with earnest ambition. The plot follows Pat, a man unexpectedly finding employment as a videographer for an exorcist during the COVID-19 pandemic. This unlikely partnership quickly unearths a sinister plot: the opening of a portal to hell, intended to usher in the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. While the film may not boast Hollywood gloss, its strength lies in the commitment of its cast, including Judy Andrich, Paul Andrich, and Stefanie Austin, who navigate the escalating supernatural threat. The narrative, reminiscent of classic possession tales but with a modern, pandemic-era twist, attempts to blend horror tropes with a buddy-cop dynamic. Despite its modest production values, 'The Exorcists' offers a serviceable entry for fans of independent horror seeking a story about two disparate individuals forced to become humanity's last line of defense against infernal forces.
