THE EVIL WITHIN

Cinemavixion Review

Andrew Getty's "The Evil Within" plunges viewers into a chilling psychological descent, masterfully portraying the fragile psyche of Dennis, a mentally challenged young man whose reality warps with the introduction of an antique mirror. The film's strength lies in its unsettling atmosphere and the disturbing exploration of Dennis's fractured mind, compelling him into a series of horrific acts under the influence of his malevolent reflection. Sean Patrick Flanery delivers a nuanced performance, navigating the character's vulnerability and descent into madness. While the narrative weaves a tale of dread and consequence, it also touches upon themes of isolation and the darkness that can lurk within. Garnering a remarkable 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, this independent horror gem is a testament to Getty's unique vision, offering a disturbing yet captivating cinematic experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
