THE ELEVATOR

Cinemavixion Review

"The Elevator" plunges viewers into the chilling confines of the Imperial Hotel, a place where suspicious deaths are dismissed as mere suicides. News reporter Lily, portrayed with investigative zeal, goes undercover to unravel the dark secrets lurking within its walls. The film skillfully builds suspense as Lily navigates the hotel's sinister history and the growing unease among its inhabitants. The narrative hints at a supernatural or malevolent presence, amplified by the unsettling "Elevator game" ritual. Directed by Becca Hirani and Tom J. Kelly, this British horror offering, despite a low IMDb rating, attempts to weave a compelling mystery around a series of murders. It's a descent into paranoia where the hotel itself becomes a character, embodying the evil Lily seeks to expose before she too becomes a victim. A grim exploration of secrets and the darkness that can fester behind closed doors.
