Cinemavixion Review

Daniel Oldroyd's 'The Droving' plunges viewers into a disquieting atmosphere as a returning soldier endeavors to uncover the truth behind his sister's disappearance. Set against the backdrop of a peculiar traditional festival, the film expertly crafts a narrative steeped in mystery and foreboding. The premise alone, hinting at dark rituals and forgotten secrets, promises a compelling exploration of familial bonds strained by the unknown. Oldroyd, also starring in the lead role, alongside Suzie Frances Garton and Amy Tyger, navigates the complex emotional landscape of loss and determination. The film's strength lies in its commitment to building suspense, drawing the audience into its enigmatic world and leaving them to piece together the fragmented clues. It's a journey into the heart of a community harboring unsettling traditions, where the search for answers may unearth more than anticipated.
