THE DREAD

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Spence's "The Dread" plunges viewers into a palpable atmosphere of unease, centering on a young woman grappling with a chilling suspicion about her brother. The film masterfully builds suspense, weaving a narrative where familial bonds fray under the weight of a terrifying, unspoken truth. Sally Pressman delivers a compelling performance, embodying the protagonist's growing terror and desperate search for answers. The supporting cast, including Ellen Sandweiss and Ryan Patrick Welsh, adds depth to this unsettling exploration of identity and the uncanny. "The Dread" promises a taut psychological thriller that lingers long after the credits roll, inviting audiences to question the familiar and confront the horrors that may lie hidden in plain sight.
