THE DOG WALKER

Cinemavixion Review

Kylie Hitchcock's "The Dog Walker" plunges audiences into a chilling psychological thriller, masterfully weaving a narrative of anxiety and obsession. The film centers on an investigative journalist, whose promising career is derailed by a traumatic assignment, leading to a crippling anxiety disorder. Her self-imposed exile is shattered by the arrival of a psychotic stalker, who forces her back into the dark world she desperately tried to escape. The performance by Alexandru Aldea, alongside Ed Altman and Robyn Babina, anchors the film's descent into terror. Hitchcock not only directs but also pens a script that expertly builds suspense, transforming a seemingly simple premise into a complex puzzle. While the film received 6 wins and 7 nominations, its 5.0 IMDb rating suggests a divisive reception, yet its exploration of a mind under siege offers a compelling, albeit unsettling, cinematic experience for fans of the genre.
