At its center is the courageous Father Marco Arana, a TIME Magazine Hero of the Environment, who finds himself designated "the Devil" due to his effective opposition to the US-owned Yanacocha mine. The film meticulously documents the chilling campaign of harassment and terror waged against him and his fellow activists. Through unearthed video footage, disturbing photographs, and detailed reports from private security firms, the filmmakers reveal a shocking real-life political thriller.
