THE DEVIL INSIDE

Cinemavixion Review

William Brent Bell's 'The Devil Inside' plunges viewers into a chilling found-footage narrative that attempts to dissect the nature of demonic possession. Following Isabella as she investigates her mother's violent past, the film adopts a documentary style that lends an unsettling immediacy to the unfolding horror. While the premise of a family confronting an unseen evil is familiar, the execution here leans heavily on jump scares and a pervasive sense of dread. The performances, particularly from Fernanda Andrade, anchor the escalating terror, even as the plot navigates familiar supernatural tropes. Despite a lukewarm critical reception and a modest box office performance, the film's commitment to its gritty aesthetic and its exploration of faith versus the inexplicable make it a noteworthy, albeit disturbing, entry in the genre.
