THE DEATH OF APRIL

Cinemavixion Review

Ruben Rodriguez's "The Death of April" presents a chilling narrative, primarily viewed through the lens of a wireless webcam. The film follows Meagan Mullen, a young woman who documents her life and emotional journey via video blog after moving into a new home. As her personal life becomes more entangled, unsettling events begin to unfold in her room, all captured by the camera. This found-footage style horror mystery, released in 2022, stars Amy Rutledge, Katarina Hughes, and Stephanie Domini, who effectively convey the escalating dread and mystery. While the film may not boast widespread critical acclaim or major awards, its intriguing premise and claustrophobic perspective offer a compelling watch for fans of the genre seeking a modern take on domestic horror.
