THE DARKNESS (DORCHA)

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Darkness (Dorcha)", Lisa, an author seeking solitude for her next novel, finds her isolated country retreat invaded by an unseen, malevolent presence. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread as Lisa grapples with a spirit that seems intent on consuming her sanity. The narrative plunges into a psychological descent, blurring the lines between reality and delusion. As the spectral influence intensifies, Lisa must confront the house's dark history and the entity within, before she succumbs entirely to its maddening grip. Amelia Eve, Katherine Hartshorne, and Cyril Blake deliver compelling performances that anchor the film's chilling exploration of psychological horror and the terror of losing oneself.
