THE CROSSBOW CANNIBAL

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the chilling case of Stephen Griffiths, the man who chillingly dubbed himself 'The Crossbow Cannibal.' The narrative meticulously reconstructs the events leading to his 2010 arrest, focusing on the brutal murders of three women in Bradford's red-light district. Griffiths, a PhD student at the time, was reportedly working on a thesis concerning applied criminal justice, a detail that adds a disturbing layer to his profile. The film effectively conveys the swiftness of his apprehension, occurring just four days after the disappearance of Suzanne Blamires. While the film delves into the grim facts of the case, it serves as a stark reminder of the dark realities that can exist beneath the surface of ordinary life, prompting reflection on the nature of crime and justice.
