THE CRAZY HISTORY OF PSYCHEDELICS IN 46 MINUTES

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the fascinating and complex history of psychedelic substances, charting their profound impact on art, music, and societal evolution. It adeptly navigates the cultural shifts spurred by LSD and magic mushrooms, presenting a compelling narrative of transformation. Equally important, the film does not shy away from the darker chapters, including the ethically dubious CIA MK-Ultra program and its experiments with mind control. By weaving together expert commentary with seldom-seen archival footage, the documentary offers a comprehensive and thought-provoking exploration of a psychedelic era whose reverberations are still felt in contemporary culture. It serves as an insightful primer for those curious about this influential period.
