THE COMING

Cinemavixion Review

In 'The Coming,' director Joy Jones presents a faith-based thriller that grapples with apocalyptic themes through the eyes of young protagonists. The narrative centers on a pair of friends who discover that the prophecies of the Book of Revelation are unfolding around them, using it as a guide to survive the ensuing chaos. While the film's ambitions are clear, its execution, as suggested by its modest critical reception, may lean more towards earnestness than cinematic polish. The performances of Christina Alexandru and Jamelia Amor anchor the story, portraying a relatable bond amidst extraordinary circumstances. For viewers seeking a narrative that blends spiritual exploration with a survivalist edge, 'The Coming' offers a unique, albeit niche, perspective on end-times prophecy.
