THE COED AND THE ZOMBIE STONER

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Coed and the Zombie Stoner," director Glenn Miller crafts a surprisingly endearing, albeit unconventional, take on the zombie apocalypse genre. Released in 2014, this independent comedy ventures into territory rarely explored, where the undead are not just a threat, but potential romantic interests. The film centers on a bright sorority girl who finds herself smitten with a zombie, a peculiar romance that quickly escalates into a campus-wide outbreak. The premise takes a humorous turn with the discovery of a rather unorthodox cure: marijuana. What follows is a race against time as our protagonist attempts to distribute this peculiar remedy before her entire university succumbs to the shambling horde. While IMDb ratings suggest a niche appeal with a 3.6/10 score, the film's unique blend of horror, comedy, and a touch of romance offers a fresh and entertaining experience for those seeking something outside the typical zombie fare. The plot, as described, promises a lighthearted yet chaotic adventure, driven by a premise that is as bizarre as it is intriguing.
