THE CITY WITH NO LAWS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the heart of Detroit, a city often perceived as being on the edge of collapse. However, 'The City With No Laws' offers a refreshing counter-narrative, highlighting the resilience and ingenuity of its inhabitants. Through the eyes of Gonzo, Parv, and Nick, we witness a community actively engaged in urban rejuvenation, fostering innovation and collaboration to forge a new kind of city. The film then expands its scope to Slab City, an unconventional off-the-grid settlement, showcasing a diverse tapestry of individuals—artists, dreamers, and those living outside societal norms. It’s a compelling exploration of alternative lifestyles and the enduring human spirit in the face of adversity.
