THE CHINA MISSION

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a compelling glimpse into the lives of Irish Roman Catholic missionaries in China, spanning from 1920 to 1954. It meticulously chronicles their dedication to social work, pastoral care, and disaster relief amidst the dramatic upheavals of Chinese history. The narrative highlights their resilience in the face of floods, famine, civil war, and the eventual persecution leading to their expulsion following the Communist revolution. While the film lacks specific details on director or cast, it powerfully conveys the human experience of these individuals during an extraordinary and tumultuous era.
